Sorry to whoever sent this one in on December 5 of last year, but with Gmail I just tend to leave everything in the inbox and get to it later. Sometimes much later.

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009Hey a while back, you reviewed the show Magnum TA getting into the car accident and you asked the fans of the blog to ask Dave Meltzer as to what was the going to be the Starcade main event was going to be before the accident. He did in fact tell me that Magnum was going to face Flair but wasn't sure if Magnum was going to win the belt. Also he did say that Magnum was going to beat Nikita before Starcade in a blowoff match to get momentum to Starcade. Just thought you wanted to know.
Indeed I did, thank you!
All Time WM Killer
Tuesday, May 12th, 2009Hi Scott. I had an idea for a possible blog entry but it might seem a bit strange so please bear with me.
From Clash Of The Champions to Ring Of Honor nowadays, there's a tradition of other federations either competing directly with WrestleMania or trying to ride their coattails. So, I was wondering, in counterpoint to the all-time WrestleMania card you once did, what would be your all-time competing show?
A few rules:
--The wrestlers involved must have been active during the WrestleMania years but never wrestled at WrestleMania
--The wrestlers must have been stars in North America.
--Every wrestler can only be used once.
--It'd be a bit limiting to only use shows that occurred on WrestleMania weekend so since we're assuming we have access to a magical time machine to make this all possible, you cna include matches from any time during the year.
--Other than that, you can decide how many matches, how many titles, which titles, etc.
If that doesn't strike your interest, sorry to waste your time, but I'd be interested to see what you come up with!
I dunno, we’re eliminating a whole group of people who had great matches outside WM but competed in a few (or one) WMs (like Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard, Vader, etc) so we’re really limiting ourselves out of the box. Obvious candidates for inclusion in our dream card:
The SmarK DVD Rant for The Greatest Stars of the 90s
Thursday, April 23rd, 2009The SmarK DVD Rant for The Greatest Stars of the 90s
- Hosted by Tazz. This is similar to the 80s DVD in that it's broken down into a series of mini-biographies on the stars of the decade, but it's one big documentary disc first, followed by a pair of bonus match discs.
The SmarK 24/7 Rant for World Championship Wrestling – October 25 1986
Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009The SmarK 24/7 Rant for World Championship Wrestling - October 25 1986
- So this is the last rant on World Championship Wretling before 24/7 goes away, and in a sad bit of synchronicity, this is the show where we learn of Magnum TA's fate.
Scott Keith: The DVD?
Sunday, April 19th, 2009Hey Scott,
Just a quick question that might be fun for you to answer.
Suppose, for some reason or another, WWE decided to start making DVD compilations specifically for fans. For the sake of argument, we'll say it's one of those 3-disc bad boys and you can load it up with whatever you like. I think each disc holds an average of about 3-4 hours? I've never clocked them.
So, if WWE was going to make the Scott Keith DVD, what would your list look like?
Hmm, now that’s an interesting question.
As I’m sure people as well aware of by now, I have basically the entire WWE DVD catalog already, so my tastes in a custom DVD would run towards stuff that is currently unavailable (or woefully unrepresented) on DVD and needing release. And yeah, each disc holds three hours. So here’s my picks:
The SmarK 24/7 Rant for World Championship Wrestling – October 18 1986
Monday, April 6th, 2009The SmarK 24/7 Rant for World Championship Wrestling - October 18 1986
- So we're into the home stretch now for this show, as there's two left before Sasktel pulls the channel at the end of the month, and it's kind of fitting because this is getting close to the point where I originally started watching NWA wrestling back in the 80s anyway. For those keeping track of this sort of thing, all traces of "24/7" have now been excised from the channel, as everything is only branded as "WWE Classics on Demand". I'm stubborn, though, and I'll keep calling them 24/7 rants until we're done.
The SmarK 24/7 Rant for World Championship Wrestling – October 11 1986
Wednesday, March 18th, 2009The SmarK 24/7 Rant for World Championship Wrestling - October 11 1986
- God, it's been a lean month for content thus far on WWE 24/7, and with only a few updates this week and a 33-minute episode of WCW at that, there's not gonna be much new stuff from me, either. In case you were wondering.
The SmarK 24/7 Rant for World Championship Wrestling – October 4 1986
Wednesday, March 4th, 2009The SmarK 24/7 Rant for World Championship Wrestling - October 4 1986
- Your hosts are Tony & David. This is likely taped before the Omni show with the US tag title tournament they've been hyping for weeks, so no mention of the results or even the show here.

A reader notes…
"Hey Scott,
Long-time fan of your site and your wrestling writings.
I know you're not a fan of Hogan but do you realize today marks 25 years since Hogan won the title? It's crazy...that was right around the time I started watching wrestling and to think 25 years have passed since then is something else.
Enjoying the NWA Wrestling rants you do the most. That's the show I most look forward to on 24/7."
Thanks, and it's also my favorite show to rant on, so it works out well for everyone.
