MICHAEL'S RAW REVIEW
MAY 10, 2010
PITTSBURGH, PA - THE MELON ARENA
- Well, since there is no Impact tonight, I figured I would do a RAW for fun. Real quick though, how could I not predict what would happen to Chicago last night any better. It was almost like 2009 all over again. I still stand by my prediction: Blackhawks in 6 games. Sorry, Scott, don't take it personal.

THE IMPACT ZONE - ORLANDO, FLORIDA
- Bubba the Love Sponge gets fired from TNA for calling Awesome Kong, "black". That is racially insensitive according to Total Nonstop Action. The same people who have a wrestler named the Black Pope. **sigh** Let's cross the line.
- We start with a video package from last week's show.
"HOGAN/STING - THE SUMMIT"
(Is this anything like the Savage/Crush Summit?)
MICHAEL'S IMPACT REVIEW #16
APRIL 19, 2010
ORLANDO, FLORIDA - THE IMPACT ZONE
- So, just like many others, I went over to 411 to check out the live play-by-play of Lockdown last night. Maybe it's just me, but some of these jokes were over my head. Some of them I have seen time and time again. Not bashing the guy that did it, kudos to him for sitting through 3 hours of a TNA pay-per-view. All I am saying is I hadn't seen any of the Kurt Angle-Mr. Anderson match, but giving it MOTY honors, is saying a whole lot. Oh, and the clip art; oh the clip art!!! Let's cross the line.
- We start with a Lockdown recap video. Flair bleeds.
"WHAT WE ALL FIGHT FOR"
Hey Scott,
Haven't seen you blog about Lost in a bit (I think since Locke's episode?), just wondering how you're enjoying the season and especially what you thought of last night. We're in the home stretch now it seems, and I can't believe there's only 7 hours left. As much as I'd love for it to go on and answer and explore more mythology about the island, I'm glad they're getting to end it on their own terms, and hopefully resolving it so that most people won't kill themselves in frustration when it's over.
God, I don’t know what I’m going to do when this show’s over. My wife really wants to start watching Chuck, so I guess that’s next, but there’ll only be one Lost.
Anyway, this season is so good and yet so gut-wrenching that I wish I was watching like season 4, on DVD, where I can sit down and pound out the whole thing in a couple of days and spare myself the agony of trying to figure it out week by week. Desmond & Penny just breaks your heart every time, and I especially loved the callback to the bottle of scotch that wasn’t good enough for Desmond the first time around. I don’t think there’s been any weak episodes this year (aside from Jin & Sun’s rather dull one) and I love that we’re finally just getting people who go “Oh, this is why this is happening” and being done with it. ANSWERS~!

- So, I'm re-reading Ric Flair's book. I get to the point about his "phantom" title change in the Caribbean in the early 80's. He wrestled some guy I have never heard of that hails by the name of Jack Teneno. I was intrigued by the whole story and now I am searching high and low for any footage of the match or re-match. Does it exist? I checked YouTube and all I got was a 30 second video of Teneno hitting the ugliest piledriver on Flair I have ever seen and celebrating the win. If anyone knows where I can find this "gem" leave a link in the comments section. I am riveted. Let's cross the line.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA - THE IMPACT ZONE
- OK, so before we get started, I was wondering something. What is making Raw that much more appealing right now? I was thinking about this today. You have a four week gap before Wrestlemania and all they really can do is book the matches right away and then build them up for four weeks. Now, I am very excited about this time of year, more than any. With that being said, how many times can I enjoy John Cena vs, The Big Show and Randy Orton vs. Triple H? I am pretty sure that last year's Wrestlemania Rewind Raw showcased John Cena vs. The Big Show, but I could be wrong, Now before you go accusing me of saying that WWE's product is worse than TNA and that I am just "trolling"; keep in mind that I am disgusted at the way they build feuds and hype pay per views over in TNA. But, I do find their product something fresh and there is a chance for new rivalries and it is an alternative. OK, now I'm done....Let's Cross the Line.
