Hey Scott,
http://www.worldwrestlinginsanity.com/am2/publish/Other_Columns_44/Justin_Henry_on_Bringing_Mania_Back_To_WrestleMania.shtml
I've written and published what I feel is something subconsciously felt by wrestling fans who follow WWE with any sense of closeness, but then I realized: does WWE truly care about Wrestlemania's main events being so similar, as long as the buyrates are healthy? I mean, with Vince lamenting the 12% drop, you'd think he'd be a bit alarmed and want to try new things on top.
Thanks for the plug if you use it. If it greases the wheels, I enjoyed the Dungeon of Death book.
Sucking up never HURTS, for sure.
And no, they really don’t give a crap because the money flows. Although WM bombed this year, so maybe they will now?

Scott, just thought you would want to let your readers in Northern Ireland know that there will be a short review of Dungeon of Death in this Months Verbal Magazine which comes with this Fridays Derry Journal, Belfast News, and Newsletter. It’ll also be online at the magazines website:
http://www.verbalon.com/magazine/
Thanks for the review copy, I hope this helps. Let me know if you want a physical copy of the magazine. And if you wouldn’t mind posting a link to my blog which contains my reviews , and such I would be most appreciative.

Just wanted to draw attention to another piece of fan mail about Dungeon of Death...
Hello Scott
I am not expecting you to reply back to this as I understand how busy you must be, but I just wanted to praise you on your latest book, Chris Benoit Dungeon of Death.
Ive been a wrestling fan since 2001 and Ive never really thought too much about what goes on behind the scenes or what goes on in the wrestlers lives behind the curtain.
So having never read a book for entertainment purposes in my life, I decided to get into reading and what better subject than Pro Wrestling. Having heard stories from wrestlers and seeing the Rourke movie, The Wrestler, I sort of had a rough idea of how these guys live. Your book was so addicting. Seriously. I am not a fast reader but it was so good that I finished it within a day of starting.
I was amazed to read about the shocking story of the Von Erichs and I was saddened to read about Owen and Bret Hart. I don't know what to think about the whole Benoit situation. But at least now I have some good facts to go by.
I have learnt a great deal from your words and I will be sure to check out your other books as quick as I can.
The scary thing with The Wrestler is that it seems brutally honest and open from the perspective of non-fans, but it's actually pretty toned down compared to what really goes on.

Hey Scott, what's happenin' brah?
Long time reader, couple of times a writer, was hoping I could ask ya for a plug on the blog?
I currently own and run Elite Wrestling Online, a fairly respectable forum that we're currently in the process of expanding to cover a much wider array of topics, and also working on a website of the same nature (we're aiming for something like 411 or IP but a little more flashy).
EWO was created after the demise of WrestleMporium, which came from PWM, and RSM before that, but we've banded together and kept it all going as a group of 30 or so core members since mid 2005, and now I think we're just looking for a bit of new blood to freshen the place up a little.

In return for this plug I have nothing much to bribe you with, sadly, except the promise of buying Dungeon of Death when my local bookstore can get it for me, but then Australia has always been a bit slow.
Thanks for your time man,
Chet (jag_bjg)
I'm appalled you think that it takes a bribe to get a plug on my blog.
Not that it would HURT...

It's been a packed few weeks for book interviews!
Alex Marvez:
http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2008/dec/04/wrestling-author-profiles-30-who-didnt-make-50/
This was a pretty fun phone interview, actually, as Alex and I are pretty close in age and taste in wrestling.
In Your Head Online radio:
http://www.inyourheadonline.com/viewnews.php?autoid=1816
This is an hour-long segment with me taking questions from listeners and discussing a variety of topics while I was fighting a cold and trying to keep from losing my voice. Still, another fun one.
I'm doing another radio show next week as well, so I'll keep everyone updated.

Hi, Scott!
Here's a link to my review of "Dungeon of Death:"
www.associatedcontent.com/article/1249534/wwe_chris_benoit_book_review_dungeon.html
I was hoping I could plug my own book, "This Side of the Mic." It's the story of how I became a pro wrestling announcer 15 years ago. It's full of stories from the Pittsburgh and Cleveland indies, as well as when I announced during the early years of Ring of Honor.
If your readers would like to purchase an autographed copy, they can e-mail me at gormanwriter@yahoo.com. I'll give them a discount if they say they heard of the book from Scott Keith. I sent you one, too, so I hope you enjoy it. Thanks!
Good luck with the book, and thanks for the review!

Hey Scott,
Long-time reader here, as I might've alluded to in one of my other e-mails. I've been reading your stuff for about ten years now. My memory sucks, so I can't remember which site I discovered you on, but I followed you from site to site through the years until your current Blog of Doom. I've got all your other books, so picking up this one up was a no-brainer.
And I liked it. A lot. I guess I never set down and did the math concerning how often guys were dying, and your coverage of it was a wake-up slap in the face. And this coming from a guy who, if I'd had enough money then, wanted to skip my high school graduation in order to go to Owen's funeral. I may be just another jaded smark, but when the main reason I check 411mania.com/wrestling/news daily is to see if anyone died the previous day, something is clearly wrong with the business.
My only quibble with the book, coming from being a long time reader, was that a few bits of it seemed lifted word-for-word from The Buzz on Professional Wrestling. But seeing as how that was quite a while ago, and I have no idea how available it is now nor how many of your newer readers have ever read it, it's understandable.
So is this it from you, book-wise? I know you're pretty uninterested in the current product, but if the right idea strikes I really hope you follow up on it. You've got at least one guaranteed buy right here.
Thanks!
Yeah, I stole some of the Bret Hart stuff from the original manuscript of Buzz because I thought I had pretty much written what I needed in that book and it's long out of print anyway.
I've been mulling over doing Scott's Book of Lists, but I'm thinking I'd just self-publish on the 'net because I don't think there'd be much interest from the publisher. But given how many people want top 5 lists from me there'd probably be enough demand to justify it at $20 a pop or whatever.
And of course you can click on the link on the right and purchase Dungeon of Death from Amazon RIGHT NOW.

It's apparently already shipping from Chapters as well if you're Canadian, and will be shipping next week for those buying it in the UK. You can also pick it up at all the major bookstores. I might be selling autographed copies as well if there's enough interest. I'm also available for radio show appearances and interviews.

The SmarK 24/7 Rant for Monday Night RAW - October 13 1997
- It was a tossup between this and Supertowns on the Superstation, but the Monday Night Wars stuff gets more hits so let's do it.
- So Dungeon of Death is out next week, although it's apparently shipping early from Chapters here in Canada, and my publisher is looking for some widely read wrestling blogs to send review copies to. Being that I'm incredibly self-centered I don't tend to read many other wrestling sites, so I'm not sure about what some good choices would be, outside of stuff like Seth Mates' blog on Newsday.com. So if you've got suggestions, drop me an e-mail.
