LAST WEEK, the face squadron displays more squabbling and in-fighting than the Full-Blooded Italians. The introductory video package, which effectively illustrates the overriding theme that team success can only be accomplished when each member completely and totally commits to a shared philosophy (while abandoning the petty, personal shit), is practically sagacious, as far as pro-wrestling is concerned.

Thanks to Alexander, The King and Michael Bradley for carrying the load here on the blog lately, as I’ve been embroiled in the drama of buying a house and haven’t even had a chance to finish watching UFC 114 yet. However, the payoff is well worth the cardiac arrest for me.
Anyway, one thing I have been watching today is last week’s NXT (since we’re on a week-long delay here in Canadaville), and I have to say that Michael Cole is a better Mr. McMahon than Mr. McMahon is these days. The showdown with Daniel Bryan felt like a throwback to the 90s, where they’re talking over each other instead of reading scripted lines from a sheet. I loved it! Plus Jericho harassing the commentary team (“Are you talking about Wade Barrett? TALK MORE!”) was worth the hour invested alone.

MICHAEL'S RAW REVIEW - EPISODE 2
MAY 17, 2010
TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA
- Tonight's RAW is commercial free. Should be a little more entertaining to watch with matches going a little longer. I know I will appreciate that. As for Sacrifice, looks like a bunch of unanswered questions for Thursday night. Why advertise Sting vs. Jarrett, build it up, waste time on TV, and then can't deliver when you know Sting has been injured for a month??!?!? Blackhawks 1, Sharks 0. I love it. Cue the opening video.
