Full Archive

So here’s the deal, boys and girls.  I’m finally upgrading my video game system as my birthday present to myself this year, and although I haven’t decided between PS3 or XBox 360 quite yet, I’m definitely going with one of them.  But being that they don’t give them away free Ineed to finance this little transaction, and that’s where you come in.

Although I sold the complete WWE archives to great success, people have since been asking when the rest of the archive is coming, and my answer was always that it’s a long and arduous process to convert to PDF.  But I figured that most people probably didn’t care about that anyway so I should just dump it all in a big zipped archive and be done with it.  So I did.

So here’s the deal:  You download the big 13MB file linked above, send $20 to me via Paypal at skeith@gmail.com, and I send you the password for hours of reading pleasure.  And here’s what you get:

  • The complete WWE/F archive in Word format, including all the RAW, Smackdown and DVD reviews.
  • The complete WCW archive in Word or TXT format (depending on the original file),including PPV, Thunder and Clash of Champions archives, plus the lost WCW book proposal from 2000.
  • The complete ECW archive in Word or TXT format
  • The complete TNA archive (such as it is)
  • The complete ROH archive (again, such as it is)
  • All of my 24/7 rants to date
  • The complete AWA archive (not much, but still it’s all there)
  • All of my DVD reviews for 411/InsidePulse (or at least as many as I still have on the hard drive)
  • All of my attempts at fiction, like the World Hero Federation and How I Spent My Armageddon.
  • All of the articles for Fighting Spirit Magazine in their original, unedited form.
  • All of my Netcop Rants, including King Lear, Lazarus, For The Want of a Nail and other various news updates I did for sites like Emzee.
  • All of my lame TV rants for shows like Prison Break and Rock Star and Ultimate Fighter.
  • Finally, a big directory of Other Stuff with assorted one-off wrestling PPVs like Heroes of Wrestling, XPW tapes, I-Generation, Women of Wrestling, Girls Gone Wild.  Oh, and the complete unedited manuscript for The Buzz on Pro Wrestling, which is so long out of print that I doubt anyone would care if I sold it here.

One word of warning:  The newer stuff (pretty much anything from 2007 onwards) is written in Word 2007 format, which shows up as a .docx file and can’t be read without either Word 2007 or a standalone reader from Microsoft.
So there you go, $20 gets you everything I’ve got to sell, and if 20 people are interested then I can buy a PS3 and start enjoying Grand Theft Auto just like the rest of the world.  And hopefully now people can stop bugging me.

Damn you, Batman!

OK, so I taped the PPV tonight so we could check out The Dark Knight, but would you believe that the entire DAY of showings was sold out in advance, and thus we were screwed and now I have to wait until Tuesday to see the IMAX version in Edmonton.  So I’m not going to be able to check out the Bash until tomorrow, so no spoilers please until the rant is posted.

Christmas Break

Sunday, December 23rd, 2007

Well, the season is upon us, and what with all the craziness at work and the impending holiday I probably won’t get another chance to update the blog before the big night, so I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas while I had the chance.  Hopefully Santa brings you everything you asked for and all that, and I’ll see y’all in a few days.

Highly unlikely request

Wednesday, November 28th, 2007

Hey!  It’s Tom the Actuary!

Scott –

Here’s my issue. I wrote a column for Rantsylvania.com back in the day that I have received requests for: one called “Bruiser’s Ghost”. I myself lost the original when my PC blew up. I tried years ago to solicit the former owner of that domain to see if a copy still existed – and you can imagine the outcome of that exchange. (I actually lost all of the columns I wrote back then). Is it possible to see if any of your current readers happened to have copied that column? I think, in Gorilla Monsoon’s words, it is “highly unlikely”, but I wanted to check… Thanks.

Readers?

Scary but awesome

Hey Scott, this is the guy that put all your ***+ matches into a spreadsheet, so I’ve put it to good use with a site I’ve been making, which will cover all your star ratings. I’ve been working casually on it since June and so far I just have the WWE PPV, Analysis and DVD section completed.

See, now I have somewhere to send people when they ask me for star ratings on my stuff.  Excellent job, although Tripod licks ass.

The WWE Archives

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

OK, I’ve been getting a lot of requests lately for a complete archive of stuff, but unfortunately it doesn’t exist in any useful form.  However, here’s what I can offer you:  My complete WWE PPV archives, covering every version of every PPV rant from Wrestling Classic 1985 until Judgment Day 2006.  Here’s the link: Scott’s Complete WWE PPV Archives

Now, here’s the catch.  I put a LOT of work into collecting all my old stuff up and converting it into PDF, so I password protected the file.  I’ll send you that password in exchange for $10 via Paypal (skeith@gmail.com), and from there you’re on the honor system not to screw me over.

At some point when I’m done with the new book, I’ll start doing up the WCW ones as well, although those are tougher because I don’t have them pre-organized like I do with the WWE ones.

I’ll even give you one for free, no password needed:  Scott’s Mostly Complete Saturday Night’s Main Event Archives

Don’t panic!

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

I’m just playing around with the theme and look of the site a little bit to see if I can improve functionality of stuff like the blogroll and categories.  If you hate it, it can easily be changed back.

By the way, now might be a good time to also clarify something that newcomers seem confused by — before you can comment freely, I have to approve your first one.  That helps to prevent trolls and spammers.  I’ve been noticing a lot of multiple posts in the moderation queue where people are saying “My first one didn’t get through, so here’s another try” or similar.  That’s why.

New contributor

Saturday, April 21st, 2007

To go along with the excellent stuff posted by The Princess on occasion here, I’ve decided that Matthew Roberts, who tends to chime in with great discussions and ideas on just about everything on here, will be given posting privileges on a trial basis.  So basically if I’m ignoring a news story or a wrestling show and he thinks there should be a discussion here, he’ll have the ability to start one.  This will hopefully allow for even more timely updates and quality content here on the blog.

Signing off, for now

Thursday, January 18th, 2007

So we’re moving to the new place TONIGHT, but stupid Sasktel (who BARELY escaped with my business this week after screwing up our original move date by virtue of being the only ones with WWE 24/7) won’t be coming by to install cable and internet until the 24th, so you’re gonna have to survive without any new content until then.

Thank god for rabbit ears, because otherwise I’d go nuts without being able to watch 24 on Monday.

See you on Wednesday!

And now the pain begins

Sunday, December 31st, 2006

So in keeping with the theme of getting rid of extraneous stuff for the move, last night was the final epic push to narrow my wrestling tapes down to a manageable number (ie, less than one box).  Even after all my dubbing for the past few months, I was still down to five boxes of about 50 tapes each, and at this point my feeling was that enough was enough.  So I took the Bryan Alvarez route and just started tossing anything that was either a Coliseum original tape, a vital WCW show, or something I’d be likely to watch in the next few months.  Given those parameters, it was actually easier than I expected to toss 20 years of tapes into the dumpster outside, given that I was never going to watch anything ECW again or Heroes of Wrestling or my million shoot interviews and random compilation tapes.  So essentially it came down to Summerslams, Royal Rumbles, a few original Coliseum compilation tapes (like Best of SNME, which I forgot I had in the original case!), all the WWF Home Video stuff from the turn of the century (No Way Out 2001 and Judgment Day 2000, baby!) and some other essential stuff.   Wrestlemanias went into the garbage, because they were home video versions and not PPV originals, and this now gives me the leverage to buy the Anthology sets without getting yelled at.

So if you need any ECW or Rock N Roll Express compilations, feel free to root through my dumpster, and you’ll probably find some good stuff.
