At this point I have no idea what Wave is supposed to do exactly, but I’ve had people ask me for invites should I ever get some, so at the moment I’ve got 8 of them and am willing to share with whoever gets their name in the hat first.
Drop me an e-mail and the first 8 people can get invited.
UPDATE: And we're done. Thanks to those who played at home and if I get more, I'll post another call for invites here.
Me.
What exactly is it? The only waves I’ve ever heard about are the ones in the ocean.
Well hopefully I’ll be quicker off the mark next time.
I’m really curious what the shit is up with Wave.
A friend sent me an invite, and I’m still wondering what the purpose is. If the majority of your friends can’t access it, it’s essentially worthless. I know it’s Google’s foray into social networking, but I’m waiting to use it when it’s actually sociable.
What is the big hullaballoo with Wave, anyway?
Go visit http://whatever.scalzi.com/2009/10/01/google-wave-early-impressions/ for a decent look at what it is, and isn’t.
It appears that pretty much everyone with a Google Wave account (including yours truly) got eight invites.
Google goes too far with the invasion of privacy as far as I’m concerned.
How is this different from Orkut?
