Fourth! Scott that was an awesome idea.
I have the APA and the Road Warriors going to a double countout.
I also did APA and Road Warriors to a no-contest. Just seemed like a natural finish to such a match.
I’m judging these on work rate.
I’m judging these by how much I liked them.. what a unique concept.
This the best idea I’ve seen anywhere in a while, I can’t wait to see the results!
My picks & why:
- Road Warriors over APA in a brawl… APA were always the champs when there was kind of nobody else.
- Rock & Rolls over Demos… I just think the R&Rs would absorb the beating, the Morton would cradle Smash in a fluke and win.
- AMWs over Rock & Sock via DQ. Rock & Sock weren’t a “real” team anyway and don’t deserve to get that far. Rock would probably get bored, or HHH or someone would come out and interfere to distract Rock and cause Foley to get doubled and beat.
- Briscoes & Rockers would go to a 2 time-limit draw, great match though.
- Doom destroys the Sheepherders.
- Steen & Generico destroy the Gunns.
- Steiners toss Kidman & Msyterio around the ring. Mysterio might get murdered in this one, literally. Steiners win big.
- Express over PoP… PoP’s not a legit team in this thing. Good enough to be there, not good enough to beat two-time tag champs. Also sets up better 2nd-round match with US Express in there vs. the PoP.
This would set up…
- Roadies v. R&Rs (did this ever happen???)
- BYE to America’s Most Wanted, facing winner of the above.
- Doom v. Steen & Generico.
- Steiners v. US Express (would be a really great babyface tag match).
Does anyone remember an all-text wrestling simulator from, like, 1996-97? That would be awesome to help fantasy book this tournament!
Could you do it with one the EWR games?
Are you thinking of TNM7?
Maybe? I only remember EWR–I don’t know what it eventually evolved into.
Demos/RnR and Briscoes/Rockers are TOUGH choices
