Hey Scott,
If everyone were in their primes, what do you think would be the better match:
Midnight Express vs. Hart Foundation or Brittish Bulldogs vs. Steiner Brothers?
Well I can certainly tell you what the stiffer match would be.
I think heel Midnights v. babyface Harts from 1990ish would have been the best bet for match quality. The Steiners could be hit or miss with similar-styled teams and the Bulldogs were dependent on Dynamite’s mood and injuries, so you never knew what you were getting. The Harts and Midnights both knew the formula inside out and you could be guaranteed a ***1/2 match just by them going through the motions, so I’m thinking that’s the better choice.
Maybe for fun we’ll do a big “fantasy tag team tournament” deal so people can debate this topic more in depth.
I’m willing to bet it’s just me, but;
does anyone else hate tag-team wrestling?
I hate it. I absolutely cannot stand it. I find most tag matches to be so GD boring that it drives me nuts. Unless we’re talking tornado tag, then it can be interesting. I loved tag matches in ECW. They were always so much fun to watch. But traditional? Bleh. There are maybe two, or three traditional tag matches I can think of that I don’t mind watching. They are as follows;
World’s Greatest vs. Mysterio & Kidman – Unforgiven ‘03 [my 2nd all time fav PPV next to WM24]
Stone Cold & Shawn vs. Bulldog & Owen – You know, from that Raw in 97.
Sting & Luger vs. Steiners – Superbrawl I? Or II?
I’m not sure why I hate tag-teams so much. I guess because of how fucking boring they always are. It’s the same damn thing, time and time again.

scrublife.wordpress.com – I look back at random Nitro where Bulldog debuted, find out why I think peeps should have a license to have kids, and a bunch of super-awesomeness Top 5 lists.
I liked Edge/Rey vs. Angle/Benoit from No Mercy ‘02 and Harts/Brainbusters from SummerSlam ‘89, myself.
Didn’t that Rey/Kidman vs. WGTT take place at Vengeance ‘03, not Unforgiven?
Er, dammit. You’re right, I was watching Unforgiven ‘05 when I typed that. So, I’m an idiot who’s very susceptible to suggestion.
Kinda like most of the characters on “The Mentalist” then.
