Sorry it's late boys!
A couple of quick thoughts. Paint me unimpressed with UFC 101. A couple of matches had no real flow, the best fight was probably in the stands and there was an AWFUL stoppage. Anderson Silva was great, of course, and I thought Kenny Florian did his best to delay the inevitable squeeze he was going to get from B.J. Penn, but the WEC show the following night on free TV was better in my opinion.
And even though all the MMA writers lined up to blow Dana White after he failed to sign Fedor don't believe that the failure of that negotiation wasn't partially his fault. Fedor knows his value and he knows that there's no one for Brock Lesnar to face right now that has any sort of legitimacy. If White wanted to make the match, he was going to have to play nice with others, which he isn't ready to do. Eventually he'll have to because the money he's losing by not having the match on the docket is pretty substanial. So either he waits and caves in eventually or prays that either Fedor loses or one of these heavyweights in the upcoming Ultimate Fighter can pose a real threat.
