So sadly I’m forced to listen to a great deal of crappy music at work because the satellite music channel is locked to Pop Adult, the least offensive music station humanly possible. So if you love Michael Bolton, Celine Dion, Taylor Swift and every American Idol contestant who got close to the top, it’s your station!
Anyway, my specific gripe is having to listen to quasi-inspirational bullshit on a constant basis from pampered teenagers. You know how many times a day I have to listen to that fucking shitty Miley Cyrus song “The Climb”? A LOT. Do I NEED a millionaire 16-year old telling me that life can be hard and I just need to keep climbing that mountain? Do I need to hear Kris Allen telling me that you can climb mountains if you believe hard enough? Perhaps if I also had years of singing lessons and got exposure on a highly-rated media machine, I too could climb mountains? And what the fuck is with everyone climbing mountains? Can’t these songwriters find any other fucking metaphors to beat me over the head with? These people are paid MILLIONS to come up with this Hallmark bullshit.
Rant over.

Out of all the DVDs that Scott has reviewed or plans to review, I have no doubt that he would have gotten around to this one, eventually. You know, right after the day that Bastion Booger makes a big nostalgic comeback and wins the World Championship. Regardless, I will fully admit that I'm a big fan of Kane. Part of it is because I've just always marked out of the character, to the point of even raising my arms in unison with his when he does his opening pyro. Another is because I feel that, out of all the employees that WWE has had over the years, Glen Jacobs is probably their most consistent. He always gets those "oh crap!" reactions from the audience, has been strongly over as a face several times in his career and plays the role of a monster heel well, too. His matches, while never outstanding, are entertaining and paced well. Plus, he has rarely been injured and (as far as I know) never injured anyone anyone else. He's been put in ridiculous storyline (Katie Vick) after ridiculous storyline (electrocuting Shane's testicles) after ridiculous storyline (looking like one of the Three Stooges upon unmasking). Yet, he's been with the company in different gimmicks since the early 90s. Aside from his "brother", few other superstars can make that claim.
So, I'm ThatNickGuy and I'll be your host for the 3-disc DVD review of The Twisted, Disturbed Life of Kane!
Read more behind the cut.
