Hey Scott, longtime reader. I've been hitting up YouTube lately and I've noticed that one thing that WWE never does anymore that I think would help a lot of characters is those DVD that highlight a current character in WWE. These days, the only people who get those types of DVDs are people like Undertaker or HHH who have been in the company for a while. I think if WWE did those type of DVDs again it would really help get some of the new guys over, and another thing that could work is a best of compilation for some of the current hot feuds. What do you think?
I think that the “Best of the WWF” Coliseum video concept is a huge gaping hole in the wrestling world today and is a concept that needs to come back. Since they pretty much have the capability to tape everything now anyway, why not film random house shows and put them on WWE.com? Or (and they can have this idea for free), put a list of current stuff on WWE.com and allow you to compile your own DVD for like $10, which would give you two hours of footage direct from the source. I would absolutely pay that to grab some of the best Smackdown matches from the past few months in full DVD quality instead of having to download lower quality rips from the newsgroups.
It drives me insane that they have the biggest wrestling library in history and they just can’t figure out how to make even more millions off the wrestling geeks like myself and my readers.
