This is truly awesome because Yellow Ledbetter is my all-time favorite Pearl Jam song and yet, yeah, I have no idea what the fuck he’s saying through the entire song.
Thanks to Chad Bryant for posting a link via Facebook.

Hmm … apparently there are zero Rebel Yells.
Nice work
Yellow Led is a great song, used in the last episode of Friends althoug hI guess everyone knows that by now.
The best version ive heard is the MSG show from July 2003 where he sings it about the Iraq war “Will I ever, see, my brother alive again” and “he’s comin, he’s comin home in a box or a bag”
Only seen them once and they didnt play it
but got standing tickets for August so I live in hope.
Good to see some PJ on the blog.
BEST. BAND. EVER!!
“Yellow Ledbetter” was my favorite Pearl Jam song for over a decade…until they covered the song Israel Kamakawiwoole is famous for in Hawaii (no, not “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”)

Cool, never heard them play that before. Didn’t BJ Penn come out to that?
Wikipedia tells me that BJ uses a combination of two Iz songs as his music, one of them being the forementioned “Hawaii ‘78″
I guess that song would be a good inspiration for a Hawaiian to go out and beat up a haole.
I thought I remembered when he fought Jens hearing something in his music about the “the proud Hawaiian nation,” or something like that.
I’m not sure if I remember all the “words”, so to speak, but I do recall that on my lyric sheet, I left myself a musical notation that was along the lines of NOTE = Mumble Freely.
