Well, he ALMOST had me until the attempted Jack/Fozzie connection where it all falls apart. Funny stuff, otherwise, especially that Jenna/Miss Piggy picture…
That ‘30 Rocks’ clip from ‘Sesame Street, trumps everything, though:
- Liz Lemon as a lemon.
- JACK THE BOSS.
- “Do these look like marshmallows?” (And the call-back!)
- “There could be 50 or 100…or THREE!”
- “How? We can’t ask them! They’re ROCKS!”
No wonder this show has been on forever and a day.
I thought Kenneth shouldve been Fozzy.
The only thing that blows my mind is I posted this same thing (30 Rock as Muppets) a few months ago on imdb.
Either I was ripped off or great minds think alike.
Weird.
A show about a television production has a straight-man(woman) main character, a diva, a wacky cast member, an overeager young guy, etc. Sorry, this is not mindblowing stuff–he could have written the same thing 25 years ago about WKRP in Cincinnati. It gets worse when the writer straight-up admits that half the characters don’t have any parallels, which is a sign that this premise should have been scrapped before the article was written.
Check out a show called Greg the Bunny. Phenomenal old show that used to air on Fox (and got cancelled after a season for going too over the top) – basically comes across like a combination of 30 Rock and Sesame Street. Insane stuff.
