Mr. Keith,
Since you kindly post "cheap plugs", may I get one for my latest column: http://www.lordsofpain.net/columns/2683.html
Additionally, what is your thoughts on my Triple H vs. Edge for Wrestlemania 26 analysis?
It’s a good analysis, but it’s not like WWE even knows what the main event of the next PPV is going to be, let alone the next Wrestlemania, so it’s kind of an academic point. HHH v. Edge was one of the matches thought to be a lock for 25 around this time last year and it ended up happening on a nothing PPV instead.
Besides, we’ll probably have to endure John Cena v. Big Show for the next 10 straight PPVs at the rate they’re going, so pencil that one in for the main event of WM. Possibly in a tuxedo match.

John Cena should fight The Big Show in a Sumo Monster Truck Match. Both men should be set on fire and there should also be The Iron Sheik humbling both men. Oh and Cheatum should be WWE Champion.
You forgot the part where Big Show falls off the roof of Cobo Hall! He is presumed dead until he comes back at the end of the PPV to beat Cena with the help of the One Warrior Nation and a fog machine. Then Show pulls out the dastardly double bearhug / hip thrust on Cena with the help of The Yeti.
If it’s a Tuxedo on a Pole match, sign me up.
With a moving pole.
If this one happens, I may have to attend Wrestlemania in person, because television does not allow you to appreciate the size of the Big Show’s tuxedo.
His cufflinks are the size of a lemon, by gawd!
How will Cena overcome the odds?!?!?
“Now, my source, back during 2006, said that Vince McMahon views guys like Undertaker and Triple H as his “elite” wrestlers, while Vince was content of having a “cluster” of guys who would flirt with the top or feud with each other (Batista, Edge, Orton, Benoit, and Cena).”
if Cena is not considered to be a top (or ‘elite’) worker – who is?
I agree. 2006 featured the end of a 10 month title reign for Cena and the start of a 5 month reign 3 weeks later. After another fling with Edge over the summer Cena got it back in September and kept it through the next WM.
This is less a flirtation and more of a long-term relationship where the WWE title is settling because it doesn’t think it can do better.
If there’s ever a “relationship status of the WWE title”-column you should totally write it.
Take into context as to what VINCE thinks. HHH and Undertaker are his guys while everyone else is a step below… Taker is his longtime veteran and lockerroom enforcer while HHH is, well, a relative.
I’m not the one discrediting Cena… Vince is, apparently, and you can somewhat see it on how he protective he is of HHH and Taker versus everybody else.
With the “fly by night” booking the WWE has employed now for at least 5 years, I don’t think Vince knows what he’s thinking.
Not to call shenanigans, but I doubt you have some “source” that is the right hand man of Vince….just saying
I see that Batista has been ruled out for 4 months. So at the start of this year, Orton put Batista out of action and feuded with HHH. Batista came back to get revenge while Orton put HHH out of action. Now HHH has come for revenge whilst Batista has been put out (again). If we’re lucky, maybe WWE will stretch this until WM26 and we’ll get the Batista-Orton-HHH match we’ve all been dying to see.
Seriously though, surely WWE can’t have another WM with the same bunch of guys in world title matches! Fingers crossed Miz and Morrison continue to move up to the main event.
So do you think Batista gets tested or not? Because the guy is now past 40 I think, looks like a superhero and keeps getting hurt. And not like torn ACLs or broken collarbones…we’re talking muscles tears and the like that are associated with steroid use.
I just find it interesting that Kennedy gets released in part for his injury problems…Umaga allegedly get released due to a wellness issue…yet here is Batista, seemingly afflicted by both, and he got a nice token World Title reign.
I’d be stunned if Batista isn’t on steroids, the guy is just too freakin’ enormous.
If he gets injured again after his next comeback, then I could see WWE considering whether he’s worth the money. But for the moment he’s a proven draw and, much as I don’t like it, one of the most over wrestlers in the company. I wouldn’t be surprised if that trumps any wellness violation. Could you ever imagine Cena, HHH or Undertaker receiving a wellness suspension? Kennedy and Umaga were expendable.
I think WWE have tried to be clever in their wellness violations. They will point to their suspensions of Jeff Hardy before WM24 and Regal during last summer’s GM storyline as proof that wellness comes before money. Whilst I applaud them for doing that, the fact is they were not hugely detrimental to the company. Jeff was going to win MITB but not doing so wasn’t an enormous deal – hell they gave him the title by the end of the year anyway. And the Regal storyline hadn’t really got off the ground yet so nothing was really lost by ending it.
I wish they put HBK/Undertaker as the main event title match of this year’s WM.
Anyways, HHH/Edge isn’t a match WWE have driven to the ground yet, so there is some marketability to that match, but I’m just so sick and tired of seeing HHH in another WM main event.
Also, since it’s rumored that HBK will retire at next year’s WM, WWE could do something nice and have him main event the show since he’s Mr. WM and all.
Spring Stampede pulled ahead in the poll by 1 vote! Yes!
I was expecting an article about Tito… as in Santana.
With the roster the WWE has, there is no single match in which has the Wrestlemania Appeal for a main event. Back in da day, Wrestlemania Main Event were supposed to be matches in which the two stars headlining it did not wrestle on PPV 4 months before hand like nowdays. We have seen just about every single match in which the WWE can possibly make up.
The buildup must be in which the stars did not face eachother for atleast within 2 years before WM.
The only Wrestlemania dream matches I think the WWE can pull off with their current roster is Shawn Michaels vs CM Punk and Undertaker vs Jericho.
But hey WWE Main Events and titles dont mean jack anymore. How many times has Edge won World titles since 2006? How many times we seen Edge vs John Cena? This is what happens when guys who worked on 7th Heaven get a job within WWE.
