Once again, the ground rules

Normally I don’t post these kinds of e-mails, but I just wanted to give everyone fair warning of the ground rules yet again for those new to the blog.  This stems from me threatening to ban poster Ichiban…

Hello,
I'd excuse myself for being "smarter than everyone" but since that is how you perceived my comments I guess that is in your head after all.
Don't bother banning me from your website because I'm voluntarily choosing to stop posting messages there.  It is clear that having a mind of one's own is not the best way to become a member of the rspwfaq family.
It sucks because I'm pretty sure you're around my age (30 years old).  I used to read your shit in college and think it was funny.  Now I realize that you are either stuck in the past or pandering to people too stupid to know any better.
Anyways enjoy that parking lot episode of WWE!

I’m not sure where anyone got the notion that this is a message board intended for the free exchange of diverse opinions and personalities, because it’s not.  It’s my personal blog and at this point in my online career, I have zero interest in “internet drama” or babysitting a message board.  If you want to disagree with me or others, fine, but do so in a civil manner and don’t come looking to pick a fight.  I reserve the right to be as unfair as I want to keep this a positive and relatively snark-free place.

Boring rant over, back to the far sillier world of wrestling…

Reminds me of that God-awful RSPWFA2 place and how they came to be.

They’re what happens when you take a bunch of uninteresting people and try to make a message board out of a blog. Typical “threads:”

“Oh no, it’s RAW… I’m struggling to find the desire to make a new blog post so you all can post 400 replies, 12 of which actually talk about RAW.”

“I’m Tom Cruise! Awesome gimmick, ain’t it?!”

“Top 25 blah blah blah blah blah blah”

“Music Movies TV! There’s nothing else interesting to talk about, is there?”

I don’t blame Scott for bringing the hammer early and as necessary. After the MRoberts drama from a year ago (or so), who needs it really.

It’s just like going into someone’s home and disrespecting them. You’re not going to stay there too long after than. Scott didn’t even ban him, just warned him. It’s okay to disagree, just don’t be an ass about it. Oh well. One less overly negative person to read the comments of.

    FIRST!

    …sorry, it seemed appropriate somehow.

    • That’s something I’ve nver understood–what difference does it make if you’re “FIRST~!” or not? I see it all the time on superherohype.com and I enver understand what the big deal is supposed to be.

      • Monte says:

I never understood it, either, which is why it seemed an appropriate response to the e-mail; I was also careful to make sure that mine was at least the fifth or sixth reply, just to make it that much stupider.

Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here, this is the war room!

I, for one, welcome the Scott Keith overlord.

“You used to be cool, Scott” hahaha, clearly Ichiban has more time on his hands than he’s comfortable letting on. I look forward to reading Nabichi’s comments..

Great response, SK. I used to be kind of a bitch on this site too (and still am from time to time) and I respect your right to be as totalitarian as you wanna be.

If it were my personal blog, I’d have immediately banned him without even a second thought. They are your thoughts, and you can put whatever you want…not like you need me to tell you that.

That being said, in response to a user above, rspwfa2 isn’t bad if you can slog through some of the trolls there. It’s a nice little forum with some knowledgable people, and I even post there once in a while.

I’ve always been a believer that there is a difference between disagreeing with someone and being abusive. I would never try to prevent someone from disagreeing with me. Because, believe it or not, people can be wrong. Not wanting any sort of dissenting voice is Limbaugh territory.
