Seriously, no discussion of the season finales for [House and 24]? You used to talk about them a lot, but I haven't heard much this season.
House was kind of iffy for me all season, as the Foreteen stuff bored me for weeks at a time and that was all they were concentrating on. The finale was pretty intense as usual, but confusing as all hell. I LOVED having Amber back, though, and I’m hoping she sticks around as his conscience, much like the original plan for Wilson was going to be. And I don’t know if Hugh Laurie is ever gonna get his Emmy, but they keep trying.
As for 24, I was waiting for Fox to send me the Blu-Ray this week, but apparently it’s not happening so I’ll go ahead and give my opinion now. It was a good finale! I was having doubts because the show was going completely off the rails again in the last few episodes, but they managed to wrap everything up nicely at the end, and even had something of a cliffhanger to finish as well. Plus Tony got hauled off in chains instead of dying, practically yelling “I’LL GET YOU NEXT TIME, GADGET!” so you know there’s a badass rematch coming. Overall, I think that they had no fucking clue what they were doing once they killed off Dubaku and every other bad guy on the show and still had 10 hours left in the season, but it was a hell of a lot better than season 6 or even season 5 for that matter, so I’m there for Hour 8. Maybe they can even reform Kim’s character enough to turn her into the new star. Going DAMMIT a lot is a good start.
