I was hoping you could settle an old argument that I have had for years. Who do you think would be the top money draw of all time? I know you would have to take into consideration the value of the dollar, say, 20 years versus today. Plus, merchandise and things of that nature. But I still maintain it would be Hulk Hogan. My friends think it would be Austin or Flair but, I still maintain after his run in the 80s plus his nWo years he had to be the top dog. Austin, by far and away, is the biggest money-generator in the history of professional wrestling. His merchandise alone made more money than Hogan by a factor of something like 100. Austin makes more off residuals and shirt sales even today than most wrestlers pull in off their entire contract. I don’t have the exact numbers handy, but even accounting for inflation and Hogan’s WCW years, it’s still not even close.
