The somewhat scary thing is that this isn’t terribly far off from what Star Trek VI was kinda sorta envisioned as.
It's funny how your tastes change as you get older. I used to hate westerns and war movies, and now I devour them. When I was a teenager, I was raised on Star Trek: The Next Generation and was really only aware of the original series as the basis for the movies and as a vague memory from watching with my dad, because they weren't really in heavy syndication as much as the 90s series were. So it's really refreshing to be able to go back and watch it all with a fresh perspective, many of them for the first time, and realize what an awesome show this really was.
Shocked to see you haven't mentioned Hulk Hogan's controversial interview in the recent issue Rolling Stone Magazine to come out on your blog. Saying he has empathy for wife-killer OJ Simpson, as far as wishing he could kill his ex-wife and her new lover ala OJ? Damn that's cold and brutal, especially given that wrestling is still reeling from it's own mega-scandal as far as Chris Benoit actually murdering his wife.
Does anyone really care about the ridiculous soap opera that is the Hogan divorce anymore? I thought Hulk pretty much bottomed out as a human being with the whole Graziano “he got what he deserved” thing and really giving him more attention for even stupider remarks is just fueling a fire that doesn’t need it. I just feel sorry for him now more than anything.
