I still think in terms of history, and not modern day selling - people are more interested in BIG NAMES rather than GOOD MATCHES.

Hogan only wrestled at three Starrcades. Against his buddy the Butcher Barber, Piper, and Sting. He was "retired" in the 1998 one, "protesting against Russo," in the 1999 one, and "fired" or fired by Russo in the 2000 one. Oh and he was "suspended" in the 1995 for hitting Flair with a chair, and bitching about Savage having "his" title.

If he had done the F'ing Vader program at Starrcade - it would have made the list - if it was the Superbrawl match - which was actually Hogan being Hogan, and Vader really being Vader for the last time.

It's not an awful list, and I think SK would agree given the positive reviews he gave the weekly installments on 24/7. But I agree on omissions...but with hardcore longtime fans competing with other fanbases, what can you do?

re: the Midnights...is it me, or does anyone else consider it a shame that there was no DEFINITIVE match for them in Starrcade history? The MX vs. MX match was good but I have a feeling a better one could have come about. And other than that? Gimmick match, gimmick match, gimmick match, the aforementioned SC88 match, didn't appear, split up by '90. A shame...
