The entire draw of the movie in the first place is the fact that they are TWO 40 year old MAN CHILDREN. That's the entire concept of the flick. If it's not your cup of tea or doesn't cater to your sense of humor, then I feel immensely sorry for you. I laughed my ass off like never before and had a great time at the film and thought it was pulled off excellently. It's more absurd then Talladega Nights, and something tells me that fans of Ferrel and Reilly are going to go out in flocks to see this and enjoy it. The thing should have been done as an animated film with Reilly and Ferrel playing kids, since that way the writers could have gotten more out of the concept of the two actors playing step-brothers without having to deal with the unfunniness of two grown men acting like five year olds, in a plot that even Mad TV wouldn't touch with a ten foot poll. Ferrel's going to have to do at least two-to-three dramedies in order to make up this shitty film. While it’s a decent idea in theory, “Step-Brothers” is one huge turd IMHO.
