I clicked on Veronica Mars in my profile on Facebook and noticed that you also like VM. How come you never talked about it? I think it was one of the best serial dramas of all time.
What do you think?
Well I’m a recent inductee into the VM fanclub, having picked up the first season at Wal-Mart for like $15 after years of hearing people like Justin Shapiro raving about the show. And I have to say, it didn’t disappoint, although Jodi absolutely hates the show and calls me mean names for liking it so much. That being said, the high school angst stuff can be a bit much, but I haven’t gotten to the second and third seasons yet so I don’t know if that part gets better or not. But the writing is fantastic, with great lines in every episode, and the solution to the first season mystery was one of those ones where it made perfect sense in retrospect and yet completely caught me off guard until it was revealed. The cliffhanger ending to the season kind of bugged, though, especially since I don’t know if and when I’ll be picking up the second season.
Still, although the acting isn’t the greatest, the story sucked me in and held me there for the whole season, and I’m all about the Kristen Bell.
