Board with plugs…
Hi Scott! This is Darryl The Hitman from the blog. I have bought and enjoyed all four of your books and have been reading your online stuff since I stumbled across Rantsylvania just after Royal Rumble 2001. I am also looking forward to your next book whenever it comes out (I know you’ve said but I cannot remember, sorry).
Now for my cheap plug. I am the owner of my own messageboard. It originally started as a wrestling board but has since expanded to become a general-interest board. It’s called Board With Everything (note the slightly-clever double-entendre) or BWE for short and it’s been in existence since July 31st, 2006. We have a handful of witty, opinionated, dedicated posters but I would like to have more members, particularly those who will be active and knowledgeable about wrestling and pop culture (especially NHL fans as I haven’t got many of those there) in general. I can think of no better place to find those sorts of people than on this very blog. Please note that I am not trying to steal anyone from your blog–I would hope if anyone from here choose to join us that they would easily be able to post in both places.
We have over 30 forums, including 7 different wrestling/MMA ones, and a skin changer with 50 skins. We have 50 logos that load at random every time you load a page. The forums are all viewable by guests but you have to register to post anything. If you choose to join, I welcome you and thank you for your interest. Even if you’re not interested in joining, I would also appreciate if you could leave feedback here on the blog so I would know what to improve on. If there’s anything you like or that really catches your eye, feel free to post that as well, of course. I realize you’re a busy man, Scott, so I wouldn’t expect you to join but after giving me 6 years of online mental pleasure reading your work and the fun of reading your 4 books so far, I’d be very honored indeed if you would come visit my place on the internet.
The only thing left to do is to give the address which is as follows: http://z6.invisionfree.com/boardwitheverything Thank you for your time, Scott, and thank you to anyone who may show interest in my board. Have a good day!

Pff, you call yourself a true fan and you don’t even know that “Dungeon of Death: Chris Benoit and the Hart Family Curse” comes out in November of 2008? I don’t think I want to plug your site now.
Oh, crap, too late.
Well, actually, the thing that doesn’t make me a Keith Kompletist is that I never bought the Goldberg book that you were a contributor to. ^_^
Seriously though, thank you for letting me plug my site, Scott. I will add your 5th book to my Chapters wishlist as soon as it appears on the site.
This might be the right time to mention that I’m actually a Flames fan, even though I live in BC. I’ve been able to enjoy your thoughts and opinions all these years despite your being a Canucks fan so hopefully you won’t hold my love of the Flames against me.
or you could use insertlabel. if you ignore scotsman, it’s generally amusing…
This doesn’t have anything to do with the post. I was just wondering since it comes out in paperback soon. Did anyone else think that the Hardcore Diarys was a piece of crap? I bought it the first day and didn’t even finish it, because I thought it was awful and boring. Was I the only one?
Totally agree. I did finish it, but it was a total letdown after his first 2 books.
Blah blah blah, I do charity work.
Blah blah blah, I love Melina.
Blah blah blah, I had a Terry Funk storyline idea.
There. I just spoiled the entire book for anyone who hasn’t read it.
Anybody else hope that Scott does a book that continues where the last left off? I will buy the Benoit/Hart curse one, but I get a real kick reading the month to month’s and have read them three or four times each now.
As for the new book, I know it’s gonna get some stick for ‘cashing in’ but i’d much rather the person writing the first Benoit book was a real fan of his, like me, and thus understands how hard it was (and still is) to come to terms with what happened, rathe than some judgemental prick of a journalist with no interest in wrestling, or remembering what Benoit did for the industry trying to sensationalise everything and slate WWE for a fast buck.
I see I got a new member already although I don’t know if it was from someone on this blog. If it was, thanks for joining!
Those who have visited the site, have you any feedback to offer–either positive or negative? The former is good for my ego while the latter helps me improve the board for current and future users so I welcome both.
