I think they didn't plan it that way, but back in those days when you didn't have overkill shows -- you could make it easily seem like that was what they wanted to do all along.

Those days were the days were people feared us and knew we could send them to hell. Nowadays, we're a puppet government -- just waiting for Hillary to be elected and send us all to commuinist hell.

These reviews make for nice history lessons. Can you imagine the diplomatic outrage if a face today spat on the Russian flag?

Wasn't the rating for the Hogan/Andre vs. Studd/Bundy match on the next SNME ridiculous and insane?

It's actually quite brilliant that the seeds for WrestleMania III were being planted as soon as Hulk arrived. First friends with Andre....then tag team partners...then Andre gets a little tired of the new guy hogging the spotlight.

I remember seeing, I believe Hogan&Orndorff vs. Bundy/Muraco and Hogan&Piper vs. Orndorff/Kamala. Hogan was and always will be the true legend of professional wrestling.

2 questions.
I was watching the 24/7 from Philadelphia, Fall of 1984.

1. When did Volkoff first come back and team with Sheik, and when did he start shaving his head?
2. JYD was the surprise partner for Slaughter. Was this how he was brought in to the WWF?

The best part of the show is when Uncle Elmer is climbing out of the ring after his wedding and almost falls. Vince says, "Be careful you have a match lat...uhhh" It's funny because on the show, the match was shown before the wedding but took place after in the arena. I also enjoyed Roddy Piper coming out 10 seconds after his match without sweating and with his t-shirt on.

I love the old SNMEs, though I liked them better from 87 to 89 when they really got the formula down.

The Ordonoff/Piper match was hot as heck. My favorite part is when they took it to the floor and were fighting near a table, the two guys sitting there start laughing (like, holy shit this is awesome laughter) and decide to run away.

"- Tragically, “Obsession” is deleted from history and replaced with a generic theme song. That’s just WRONG. Pay Animotion the $5 that the song probably costs these days and do it right."

Or, of course, you can:
