Great memories! I was never the biggest Roseanne fan but it did have some real laugh out loud moments and the Dan character in particular was brillantly written. John Goodman, George Clooney, Laurie Metcalf, Tom Arnold, and the entire supporting cast carried Roseanne's fat ass. She was another small time stand up commedian who had a couple of HBO specials and worked it into a little television deal. Her inability to do anything after the show ended shows how little talent she had. Saying all that though, there were some enjoyable moments in the first few seasons of the series. Tom Arnold leaving Roseanne did what a lot of people thought Vince Russo leaving WWF would do (though I always knew Russo was useless and his leaving would mean nothing). I watched some early Roseanne and thought it was okay, but was never a huge fan, then the commedy got stale and was the same thing over and over again while they bogged down into being way too serious and political (I am poor white trash so I do not need to watch rich actors pretend to be poor white trash and whine about it).
